Afghanistan

Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located within South Asia and Central Asia. Pakistan borders Afghanistan to the south and east; Iran in the west; TurkmenistanUzbekistan, and Tajikistan in the north; and in the far northeast, China. Its territory covers 652,000 square kilometres (252,000 sq mi) and much of it is covered by the Hindu Kush mountain range, which experiences very cold winters. The north consists of fertile plains, while the south-west includes deserts where temperatures can get very hot in summers. Kabul serves as the capital and its largest city.

Afghanistan has two official languages: Dari (Afghan Farsi) and Pashto. People will generally call Dari “Farsi”, though it’s slightly different from its Iranian counterpart. Dari is more commonly spoken in the north and west, while Pashto, the language of the Pashtun people, is spoken in the south and in the regions close to the Pakistan border. However, many Pashtuns also speak Dari.
English is not commonly spoken in Afghanistan outside of Kabul, and even there, it’s limited. It would behove you to learn to read and pronounce Persian numerals, and ask basic questions in Farsi/Dari such as “How much?” and “Where is…?”

If you are planning a trip to Afghanistan, the best option to stay connected is purchasing an international SIM card. Find out which is the best SIM card for Afghanistan.

Make calls

Make calls to other BNESIM users for free, without deducting any minutes from your account.

Call rates versus other users (mobile or landline) are pay-per-minute and are based on the destination of the call, so it doesn’t matter from where you are calling.

We divided the world’s countries into three zones: Zone A, Zone B, Zone C. All the rates mentioned in our plans refer to Zone A. Zone B rates are calculated as half of the value of Zone A and Zone C rates are 1/3 of it.

For example 50 minutes in Zone A equal to 25 minutes in Zone B and 12.5 minutes in Zone C.
