Os trabalhos na Ponte Erzsébet, a última a ser reconstruída, foram concluídos em 1964. No início dos anos 70, a linha M2 de East-West de Budapest foi inaugurada, seguida pela linha M3 em 1976. Em 1987, o Castelo de Buda e as margens do O Danúbio foi incluído na lista da UNESCO de Sítios do Patrimônio Mundial. Work on Erzsébet Bridge, the last to be rebuilt, was finished in 1964. In the early 1970s, Budapest Metro’s East-West M2 line was first opened, followed by the M3 line in 1976. In 1987, Buda Castle and the banks of the Danube were included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
