A picnic lunch in the wilderness of Masai Mara, Kenya
.
Kenya ???????? will always remain close to our hearts as it is the very first international trip we took with our then 6 month old son. ️
.
However, our choice of destination was met with a lot of negative responses, as friends and family tried to warn us of a tribal land filled with sickness and wild animals. ????
.
But our wanderlusting hearts led us to take the trip anyway, and believe us when we say this..it was one of the best decisions of our lives!!
.
Kenya was nothing like what we had been told, far from it! The climate was pleasant and cool in June, the city was modern and prospering, the streets were clean and green, the food was varied and delicious, and above all, the people, the warmest and most welcoming ever! ????????
.
Literally every single human being we met in Kenya greeted us with a genuinely friendly smile and of course, the customary “Jambo!”
.
The world is not really how the media portrays it or how our neighbors describe it. There is so much beauty, love, kindness and joy all around us.. all we need to do is reach out and open our hearts to it!
