Do you know the difference between a caldera and a crater? A caldera is formed by the inward colapse of a volcano after it releases the majority of its contents in an eruption, where a crater is formed by the outward explosion of rocks from the volcano. ⠀

Calderas are also often bigger than craters. This caldera is 9km wide! How cool!
