Check out this cool scarab beetle we saw while Ecuador!
If your an animal nerd like me, you might have heard/ seen videos of rhinoceros beetles (if not do yourself a favor and check it out!). Well those are a type of scarab beetle just like this girl here! The males have a very large ‘horn’ they use for fighting/ displaying to win the approval of females. We only saw males with tiny little horns, but this big girl was pretty impressive even without a horn! She was approximately 6cm long and had very strong hooked feet that were very good at holding onto skin lol! *
