Eiffel Tower at Night.
For my trip, the other must visit place recommended besides The Louvre, was of course the one and only Eiffel Tower. There isn’t much I can tell about it which you already haven’t heard.. so let me tell you this.. we didn’t go to the top of the Eiffel Tower either!! But we did take a late night train to Bir Hakeim station and walked to the entrance. The one thing I found remarkable was the sheer brightness of the illumination! It seemed as if the sky was on fire!! I can’t really describe the experience. Even late night, there was a real long queue to enter the Tower. We stood there for about 10 minutes and then headed back home.
Long ago, i had read somewhere that the earlier lighting systems would allow most of the light to escape. Till 1985 when the current lighting technology was developed by Philips, in a way that the lights make the tower glow from within.
Eiffel Tower definitely lives up to the hype surrounding it!
