In our time in the Mara we managed to see 100s of elephants. Almost all of them had huge tusks. THIS was a magnificent sight to see, with the history of ivory trade and poaching

This guy however was my favourite. With zero hesitation, he first protects his baby. Calmly lets us know where his comfort zone lies, and watches and waits to see how we react. Defensive .
