In focus for today’s #TravelerTuesday ~ Schiedam.
A quiant, quiet and picturesque town, this one is a hidden gem. The picture here, is one of my many reading spots from my first visit to the country of windmills, Holland. The Netherlands offers a milieu of windmills, but if you’re looking for lesser commercial, lesser crowded and lesser popular places to enjoy the sight of the slowly chugging Mills, Schiedam is the place to be. Visit the Museummolen De Walvisch for a brief history of the Mills in the town and to be atop one of the famous Holland landmarks. If not that you could just sit on a bench or beneath a tree (like I did) and enjoy being at peace with the surrounding natural beauty. ď¸ P. S: Do not forget to carry an umbrella and dress warm, as it is quite chilly, almost all year round.
