. Large animals such as elephants unfortunately have been hunted to extinction a long time ago. In the protected areas of the River Gambia National Park it’s still possible to spot hippo’s, crocodile’s and a small range of monkeys though.
With a wide diversity of bird species, Gambia houses over 560 different species of birds. And you’ll see a lot of them when visiting the country. This is one of my captures featuring a wild Pelican in flight. Making a dinner run I presume.
