Monkey time!!
One of the first things that pops into my head when I think of the tropics is monkeys, but for the first week of our trip we were high up in the mountains so didn’t see any. It didn’t take long once we entered the Amazon Basin for that to change though! These cute little squirrel monkeys had made themselves quite at home in the courtyard of the hotel in Coca where we stayed the night before our 4 hour canoe ride into the rainforest. They were clearly very used to people, and VERY mischievous when it came to stealing people’s food!
