So I decided while in Zadar I’d do a day trip to the Plitvice National Park. Absolute best idea, despite it being almost €100 and lashing rain.
The park is utterly stunning and divided into upper and lower lakes. The vibrant blue and green colours are determined by the limestone base or the minerals in the water. Plitvice boasts crystal clear water and more waterfalls than you can shake a stick at, I think my guide said 900+. Get ready for a torrent (literally) of park pics, cos it was lush.
