“Some emotions can not be expressed”
Chapter 1
12 June, 2017
It was second day of the trek. We woke up at 5:30 a.m. There were seven people including me. From our tent there were seven peaks visible. The highest peak of Dhauladhar range “Hanuman Tibba” was partially visible due to clouds. Our destination (Beas Kund) was not visible from the camp site as it was on the other side of the mountain.
At 8:00 a.m. we started from the base camp (Bhakrathatch) to Beas Kund. I was so excited and a little fear was in mind because I knew that the route is not going to be easy because the instructor had told us the other day that there will be big boulders on the way beneath which the Beas river is flowing. Also there will be glaciers all around.
After walking almost two kms and crossing many streams of water we reached the point where we had to climb to the ridge. The mountain was very steap and slippery. We started climbing the mountain and reached at the top.
From the ridge we could see the beautiful snow covered mountains on one side and on the other side there were boulders which was the most difficult part of the trek as we had to cross it.
