Tabo is known for hosting the oldest operating Buddhist enclave in the Himalayas. The monastery is a masterpiece with some stunning artistic pieces inside and is the best place to relax in tranquility. Tabo’s food joints are among the best in Spiti serving lip smacking thukpa and chowmein. Tabo also has some nice camping options overlooking the Spiti range. Since we stayed in Nako this time, we just stopped by to visit the monastery. Camping in Tabo will definitely be on the plan next time.
