Fashioned after Versaille, the Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the Spanish royal family, though it is only used for state ceremonies. The royal family live in a more modest palace on the outskirts of Madrid.
Picture taking was prohibited inside most of the palace, but we can tell you that the lavish decor of each room blew our minds. From the commissioned paintings, to the ceiling reliefs, elegant wall tapestries, and splashes of gold, every corner had us wowed. Pure luxury. Imagine living in a home with over 2000 rooms! Hopefully the bathrooms are easy to find.
