These pictures were taken after Sumdo, on the way to #tabo . The texture of the mountains change completely here compared to Nako and before. It looks like gargantuan heaps of blackish brown sand and sharp stones, perhaps symbolic of how young the himalayan mountains are. Even the rivers are muddied. A black & white picture depicts the rawness of this terrain in the best way. #spiti is incredibly beautiful for this reason – few other places have so many different shades on display
