This is “La Poza del Obispo” in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. It is known to be a giant pool along rocks located on this beach. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go while traveling in PR. Only an hour from San Juan. The beach is really nice. There’s a cliff (seen in the picture) where you can walk up and see such a beautiful view of the ocean.
There’s a lot of good eats in Arecibo. My favorite spot to eat was “Martin’s BBQ” where you can try a bunch of Puerto Rican dishes like their arroz con gandules, mofongo, and more! I literally got a meal with chicken, rice, and tostones for $6!! Even had so much food leftover too. You can also get seafood at “Salpicon”. If the day is hitch grab ice cream at “Heladeria El Grito”. Apparently known to be one of the best seafood spot in this area. You should also grab fresh coconut on a stand by the beach for $1!
Other things to do in Arecibo:
– Go to Cueva Ventana. It is a cave tour for $18!
– Visit the lighthouse – Arecibo Flea Market. I haven’t gone to this yet but I heard there’s many shops, souvenirs and fresh produce!
– La Cueva del Indio: another cave but this one is on the water along the coast in Arecibo
Definitely stop by here on your trip to Puerto Rico!! It’s definitely a picture, IG, worthy location.
