Today I’m sharing a fairly simple photo of some palm trees. Palm trees always instantly give me a “YES! I’m in the tropics feeling”. And, in the Gambia well you’ll have a sh*tload of these trees which is good for your average holiday vibe.
In the Gambia you’ll find 7 national parks and nature reserves, one community wildlife reserve, sixty six forest parks and 1 Ramsar site. I would see that’s plenty of nature for those travelers who love to put a bit nature in their holiday mix.
At the turn of the last century the land territory of the Gambia was covered in pristine forests. However due to an expanding population, the balance between humans and the environment became destabilized. A de-forestation process had begun to even it out. . . . . .
