Unapologetically me.
I guess we all have times when accepting who you are and being happy with yourself seem like two mammoth tasks to be able to accomplish.
I have my self love and self hate days too. Unfortunately, social media has made it easier for people to stalk, compare, daydream and complain about what we seemingly don’t have. Little do we know of each other’s daily struggles.
The truth is some things no matter how hard we want to try, will always be out of our control. The only thing we control is our own choices, decisions and the impact we wish to leave on society.
A large part of us are happy avoiding to make choices altogether. Especially if they involve facing some ugly realities about ourselves. Well, I tried the same but that shit doesn’t work for long. At some point, I had to look at myself, ask some tough questions, find solutions and stick to those choices, tough as they may be.
I’m learning the hard way that as I get older, the harder these choices get, and no matter what version I chose, i will end up losing something in exchange.
Trade off’s have never been more real. Do you have such days too?
