545miles of barely-improved dirt road through the Yukon and NWT, with few services and no intersecting highways that will eventually (thanks to a just-completed section/extension of highway) take us all the way to the Arctic Ocean.

They say the dempster isn’t a highway in the wilderness, but a wilderness highway because it’s part of the wilderness. Only one way to find out!
