‘What is your second home?’ I always try to answer that question in the shortest way possible, but I’d figure you folks would like tho hear the full story about my cultural identity as well. If not, just ignore this super long caption ~
I was born in Lisbon, Portugal and I lived in Sintra and Estoril until age 4. Then my parents moved to the German island Rügen, but I guess they didn’t like it that much because after only six months we settled in The Netherlands
~
I was raised in a town called Spijkenisse, and at age 21 I got bitten by the travel bug when I moved to Athens for my study exchange semester. Meanwhile, my parents had left The Netherlands, so when I returned from Greece I almost immediately moved into my own apartment in Rotterdam
~
I have lived there since, but I wasn’t done gallivanting around the world yet. In 2015, I enjoyed the island life of Curaçao as an intern
~
I met @drsharky30 there, and thanks to him I get to travel to Miami every year. My parents are also always waiting for me in Portugal and Luxembourg. So yeah, even though I have been living in Rotterdam pretty steadily for the past four years, I still feel like I have many homes out there in the world ️
~
Also, I don’t think I’ve ever said ‘I’ so many times before in a caption Now tell me your story
