With over 560 bird species, the Gambia is renowned around the world as a bird watcher’s paradise. At the beginning of this century, thousands of ornithologists have come to the country to observe these birds. If you don’t want to travel through the wilderness much, it is even possible to observe several bird species straight from your hotel’s balcony or at the poolside.
Today I’m sharing one of the 560+ bird species which I’ve found and captured on camera, the stork. Not quite the most tropical bird but well, my camera gear is not advanced enough to capture all those small and superfast other birds yet. Maybe it’s a good investment for the near future . . . . .
