A year ago today, you couldn’t have told me I would be living in such a magical place. It was about this time I was finding out that I was a mandatory NCORP retrainee into an aircrew position. One of my closest mentors helped me get out of retraining and make it out to Hawaii. Initially I felt like I regretted not going aircrew. Sometimes I feel like I’ll still make it there, whether it be enlisted or commissioned but for now I’ve taken the opportunity to find myself out here and I don’t regret the opportunities I’ve been provided, the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been.
