Storytime: just about everything that could go wrong went wrong on this trip. As a solo traveler you really do hope for the best as you don’t have anyone to help you if something goes wrong I used to think this…but this trip made me realize how lovely people can be. When I was in need of help the most amazing Colombian family was there for me. I only met them hours prior to this photo but without them it would have never been taken. I wasn’t allowed on my bus, my entry ticket had the wrong information and I was told I couldn’t go in. However I had a hero (or two or three) and thanks to @spr2611 and his family it was possible for me to have the most amazing day and experience. It also helped to have a positive attitude. I kept reminding myself how lucky I was to travel to a new country in the first place and meet new people so things would eventually work out
