September 27th has been deemed World Tourism Day. Every year, one country is selected to be the host of World Tourism Day. There is a new, unique theme for each year as well. World Tourism Day was not created just so people could have an excuse to travel. It is a celebration of the transforming and creative power of tourism. It is meant to show the public how tourism positively affects the social, political, and economic structures of a country.
