You’ll Need These 26 Unique Travel Tips for Your Next Trip

BNE eSIM is with you

While packing, why not put your shoes in a shower cap? Using straws to keep jewelry unknotted?

Here are a few travel practical tips that are a little strange but effective.

No, this isn’t your typical list of hacks. Some of them are peculiar.

Travel hacks with BNESIM

1. Get money back on all of your trip reservations.

Rakuten (previously Ebates) is a free cashback site that gives you money back on practically all of your online orders, almost like a half instant payback.

The following is how it works: Rakuten has worked with several well-known online shops, including Expedia, Agoda, and others in the travel industry.

When you use Rakuten to visit these store sites and make a purchase, Rakuten gets an affiliate commission, which they share with you as a rebate ( placed directly into your PayPal account)

2. Immediately look for promo codes.

Online shopping is the simplest method to save money on all of your travel reservations.

This absurdly simple Google Chrome extension searches the web for appropriate promo codes and then automatically applies them when you order online!

As a result, you won’t have to waste time looking for bargains and codes that might or might not work.

3. Look for bargains on sites like Groupon and Travelzoo.

Are you looking for some inexpensive vacation hacks that will save you a lot of money?

Vacations, hotels, and activities are frequently discounted on websites like Groupon, Travelzoo, and Living Social worldwide, from Germany to Indonesia.

These websites are our favorites since they bring together all of the best discounts in one place, making choosing the best deal a breeze.

You’ll receive a double whammy if you buy a Groupon or LivingSocial voucher through eBates since you’ll get an extra refund.

4. Make money while doing research for your vacation.

we are a believer in getting rewarded for things. We enjoy websites like Swagbucks, an online for free community that pays members with gift cards for doing things they’ve accomplished online, such as Googling, viewing videos, etc.

You earn “Swagbucks” by doing certain tasks, which you can exchange for Amazon or PayPal gift cards, which you may use to buy travel gear and experiences!

5. Save money on airfares by using incognito/private browsing.

Most internet browsers provide a mode called incognito browsing (also known as private browsing) that allows you to surf without storing any data on your computer or tracking your browsing history.

This is especially useful when purchasing flights because, according to rumors, many sites utilize a dynamic pricing system that will occasionally raise prices if they know you’ve been looking at a specific route frequently.

NOTE: While some experts argue that this is incorrect.

6. Book directly with the hotel for a cheaper cost.

Most websites don’t give this advice because they rely on associate revenue from your hotel reservations.

7. Make use of packing cubes

Packing cubes are a great way to save room and organize your belongings when you’re traveling. They’re reusable fabric cubes that you may stack/place in your suitcase when traveling. They’re inexpensive, and a good set will last you for years – making them one of the best investments for any frequent traveler.

Ziplock bags could be used in a pinch to organize your clothes in the same way.

8. Roll up your garments

Rolling your clothes instead of folding them in your packing cubes is a terrific method to keep them orderly and wrinkle-free. We guarantee you won’t go back once you’ve tried it.

9. Don’t forget to bring a pillowcase.

If you want to save space, never use a pillow that is “simply a case.” One of our favorite packing tricks is to bring a pillowcase instead of a cushion, so if you ever need a cozy pillow in an emergency, just stuff some soft items in that case and go to town.

10. Don’t forget to bring a dryer sheet with you.

Your clothes will smell particularly lovely for those long travels if you bring a dryer sheet or two with you! BONUS TIP: Have an extra bag available for your “dirty laundry” bag, so your entire suitcase doesn’t smell like filthy clothing.

11. Don’t forget to bring a clothespin to prop up your toothbrush.

One of my favorite packing tips for trips!

You want to make sure your toothbrush doesn’t touch anything whether you’re staying in an AirBNB, hostel, or hotel.. Sinks, after all, are notoriously germy.

If you don’t have a holding cup, simply prop it up with a clothespin. Pure germaphobe brilliance.

12. Use your imagination when it comes to storing items.

Consider the following suggestions:

  • bobby pins stored in a Tic Tac container
  • For hair ties, use a carabiner.
  • In an old medicine bottles

13. Don’t forget to bring an empty water bottle with you to the terminal.

You can then fill up after passing through security.

Thus no more $4 water bottles! Yay!

14. Make your own ice pack by freezing a sponge.

Have some food you’d want to bring on the plane but aren’t sure how to keep them cool? A frozen sponge will suffice.

15. Plan ahead of time to find your flight seat.

If you need to schedule a long-haul ticket, this is a fantastic international travel tip. However, not all plane seats are created equal, as most travelers know.

Others have more legroom than others, and some are inexcusably near to the restrooms, for example.

Fortunately, you can just enter your flight information on Seat Guru (it’s free!) and read several reviews/first-hand accounts.

This is a huge time saver if you have one of those flights where you may choose your own seats during online check-in.

16. Make a reservation for the aisle and window seats.

There’s no need to squabble over who gets to sit in the dreaded middle seat if you’re traveling with a friend or partner. You Reserve both the aisle and window seats in the hopes that no one wants to sit in the middle. If they do, simply request a switch!

It’s a straightforward travel hack that actually works.

17. Label your belongings as fragile.

One of the most cunning travel life hacks we have come across, but you’ll get your bags first, and airline employees will be extra attentive with your belongings. It was worth it!

18. To make your travel more tolerable, use compression socks.

Compression socks help to reduce edema and improve circulation. This is a must-know vacation hack for those who wish to fly more comfortably.

19. Type in “OK Map” to download Google Maps for offline use.

This is one of our new favorite travel tips – it’s a lifesaver. If you have enough capacity on your phone, you can easily download Google Maps and use it offline when you don’t have access to the Internet.

Simply navigate to the area you wish to save on the map, then type “ok map” into the search box and hit Install.

20. Use FourSquare to look up WiFi passwords.

FourSquare is a site that enables individuals to post recommendations, ratings, and reviews on places to visit in their area (e.g., restaurants, cafes, bars, etc.) The “Tips” portion of this website is the most useful because it allows individuals to give helpful recommendations for others, and it’s frequently here that you’ll find the WiFi password for a location.

So, if you’re in a pinch for WiFi, you can quickly use Foursquare to look for passwords.

21. Alternatively, you can get an app that tells you all the WiFi passwords.

There are a plethora of useful travel apps available these days. A good example is WiFi Map. This program displays the passwords for various WiFi networks (over 100 million of them, as they say).

22. Install Google Translate to your computer for offline use.

While traveling abroad and don’t speak the local language, having Google Translate loaded and ready is a good idea. However, it usually necessitates the use of the Internet. Here’s how to get around it: To use Google Translate offline, first download the app, then click to Settings and select “Offline Translation.”

23. For a fast freshen-up, bring some baby powder.

It’s strange, but the baby powder does wonders for freshening up. If you’re wearing flats or sandals, especially in the summer, your feet (and footwear) will undoubtedly begin to stink.

It’s easy to deodorize and feel human again by sprinkling some baby powder on them.

24. Always have a pen in your backpack or pocket.

You never know when you’ll need a pen, have one in all of your purses/day bags, backpacks, and luggage cases, and you don’t have to scramble while everyone else is filling out their Customs forms.

25. Shop at your local supermarket or grocery store.

Our favorite budget travel hack is to go to the nearest grocery. No, you don’t have to prepare your own food all of the time. Still, we constantly see budget tourists rushing for vending machines/small kiosks when there are supermarkets literally within site offering the same items for a quarter of the price.

Grocery stores are fantastic places to get food, water, and other beverages. Use them to your advantage.

26. Charge your electronics with a TV.

If you don’t have a laptop, remember that most TVs include a USB connector on the back that you can use to charge all of your equipment.
