If I purchase my BNESIM how often will the data and minutes be renewed?

Unlike many other mobile operators in the world, we believe something revolutionary: GB and minutes are different from milk. They should not expire!
That’s why when you create your SIM we don’t write anything about the expiration: because the credits you are purchasing will be active till you don’t finish them.
We have only one rule, to recognize who is using the service and who is not. You will need to top up your account at least every six months, starting from 9 euro for 50 minutes of calls. What if you will not top up? Your account will be considered inactive and freeze until your next top up. Even in that case, you will not lose the credit and you will get it back after the credit purchase.

The only BNESIM offers which are expiring are the BNESIM Surf Europe Unlimited and BNESIM Surf Asia Unlimited, which are valid for 30 days and available only on new SIM cards.

Using BNESIM VirtualSIM APP, you can make and receive calls, to the other BNESIM customers or any mobile and landline worldwide phone number.
You can use the Data for any application, including all the messaging apps and you can send traditional SMS to any phone, but you can receive SMS only from other BNESIM Customer – this is a technical limitation.

How to activate the SIM?

How do I make my top up?

You can check your balance, top up and get new numbers in the Online Selfcare or in-app Selfcare.

After 6 months what happens if I didn’t top up?

If you don’t top up your account will be frozen. You will lose your current incoming phone number (DID) and you will not able to receive or make calls or browse the Internet or send SMS.
Both physical or just virtual (BNESIM Talk) requires a top up every 6 months – any kind of top up, starting from the 9 euro for 50 minutes of voice – to be considered active. For more information about top ups you can check our Pricing page.

My SIM card doesn't work. What can I do?

If your SIM card cannot connect, or it has ‘no signal’ or it’s connected but you cannot browse the Internet follow this simple procedure:
1. Set Network lookup on automatic
2. Data enabled
3. Data Roaming enabled
4. Preferred network mode: 4G or 3G according to the country where you stay. You can check it on our coverage page clicking here.
5. Wifi disabled
6. Reboot the phone
7. Wait 5 minutes to have the network connected and stable
8. Check the APN to be set as: bne.cs101

Data

Can I access the Internet with BNESIM?

Yes, BNESIM provides you data with our SIM card and in-app calls. You can use data to access the Internet from anywhere as long as your phone has service/signal. This enhances your travel experience, making it more memorable and you can access the Internet while traveling to check your emails, update Facebook, browse the web and so much more.

Do I need to activate the data plans beforehand?

Yes, all the data plans needs to be activated beforehand via our website. Activate your data plan here.

When do the 30 days start? From activation or from first use in Europe/Asia?USA?

The 30 days starts from the activation of the SIM card. So we suggest you to activate it once you arrived in Europe/Asia?USA to maximize its usage.

Can the UNLIMITED packages be extended/renewed for more than 30 days?

The Europe UNLIMITED, Asia UNLIMITED and USA UNLIMITED are renewable. Once the plan is expired, if you want to continue to use the SIM card, you will need to top it up with any data package using the in-app selfcare or the online selfcare.

How will I know if the country that I am currently staying can use the data credit included in the product/plan?

You can check if your country or the country that you are going to, is included within the 64 Internet Home Countries (IHC) by checking our Coverage page.

What is the difference between the Internet Home Countries (IHC) and the Countries that has Internet coverage?

BNESIM SIM card covers 170 countries. We divided those countries in Internet Home Countries (IHC) and in Extra countries. The IHC are the 64 countries where you can use the credit included in your plan (Surf, Surf & Talk or the credit you choose when you customize your SIM card). For all the other countries not included in the IHC, the Extra countries, we offer different plans for each specific country, for more information you can check our Pricing page at the section “Data price in the covered extra countries”. What if the country that I am currently at or the country that I’m about to go is not included in the Internet Home countries, will I still be able to use the data credit?

No, the Data credit included in our plans (Surf, Surf & Talk or the credit you choose when you customize your SIM card) is valid in the IHC only. To be able to use our SIM card in one of the Extra countries you need to purchase one of our specific plans for that country. Can additional international data packs be added to an UNLIMITED package?

Yes, you can buy a data top up in your selfcare valid in the Internet Home Countries (IHC). In this way you will be able to use the Europe Unlimited or Asia Unlimited plans in the European covered countries + the data you purchased separately in the selfcare.

Calls

How do I make a call?

Making a call is simple, just dial the number you wish to call, with the international prefix, using the BNESIM App. Don’t you have it yet? Get it now.

How to select the caller ID?

You can select your caller ID by choosing the desired number from Selfcare OR Send “CLI” to 222 and select the caller ID you want to use.

Will I get a free-talk time?

Yes, there is a free-trial of 5 min talk-time for 6 months when you download the BNESIM App. If you still haven’t tried it, get it now.

How can I choose my phone number?

You can choose it, in the Selfcare once you created your BNESIM account.

How will I get extra number?

You are conducting your business in more than one country? You can have the local presence in all those countries without buying multiple phones and SIM cards. One device, many numbers.
Getting in touch with you will no longer be a problem. Your family, friends and colleagues can call you anywhere you are at national rates!
Visit your Selfcare, search for the “Get a new number” area and discover how cheap and easy is activating a new number from the nation you prefer.

From what countries can I make calls?

You can make and receive calls from all over the globe, you just need a stable Internet connection that can be provided by our SIM cards or any other source of Internet connection (WiFi, hot spot, and so on). Calls between BNESIM users (555******) are FREE. For all the calls to mobile or landline numbers we categorized all countries in 3 zones. The credit showed on our plans (Talk, Surf & Talk or the credit you choose when you customize your SIM card) refers to Zone A. For more information you can check our Pricing. Can I choose or customize my BNESIM number?

Yes, you can choose and customize your BNESIM number only if the number that you want is still available. After purchasing the SIM card, you have to contact our Customer care before activating the SIM.

What is the difference between DID and CID?

The difference is that the incoming phone numbers (DID) are your numbers that you can use for making and receiving calls. With BNESIM you can have more than 1 DID in the same time from 40 different countries.
The Caller ID (CID) is the number your callees will see on their phone display when you will call them.

In making a call, will it consume my data credit?

Yes, it will consume your data credit because through it you are able to make calls, however, if you are connected via internet to Wi-Fi or another source of data, it will not consume your data credit.
