City Palace, Jaipur : Laying the first stones of construction, Jai Singh (popular in the history of Rajasthan) built one of the most impressive City Palace in the country. A complex of courtyards, garden and buildings – it has been built to perfection. With great thought and intricate work of art, there are 4 massive gates – each defining one season. The one in this picture defines Autumn and is named – The Peacock Gate. Doesn’t it do complete justice to our national , pretty bird ?
P.S – A visit to my hometown with such rich culture and history definitely made me a proud citizen. Also, kudos to Jaipur for preserving this historic beauty so well.
