Here’s one of our Huaorani boat drivers. He lived with his family just down the river from Gaba, and as we arrived his son was actually heading out to go to school miles away for the first time! The Huaorani people are generally very quiet, they don’t talk much even amoung eachother probably because being quiet in the rainforest keeps you safe. They’re also very observant. The solid green everywhere is actually pretty hard to focus through, and despite my best attempts I often would totally miss something until one of our guides or drivers pointed it out or the animal moved! *
