
We thought we were going to make it all the way up the hill of the 1000 Torii gates but we got about 1/4 up and decided we didn’t want to spend our whole day hiking. We kind of like to cram in as much as possible on our long weekends on mainland and that wouldn’t be possible if we spent half the day at one site

This shrine is dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice. Around the grounds you’ll find many white fox figures which are believed to be Inari’s messengers ????
