Considered as the most important temple in #Arashiyama, #Tenryuji is the head temple of its own school within the Rinzai Zen sect of Japanese #Buddhism. Among the five great Zen temples of #Kyoto, it was ranked first. A UNESCO world heritage site, it was built in 1339 by Ashikaga Takauji.
